About Me

I stumbled into Montessori when I was a teen.  I began working as an assistant in (what I thought was) a typical daycare.  I quickly realized that I was in a school for the youngest of learners.  I fell in love and researched how I could become a teacher.  I enrolled in a teacher training course and knew I was where I should be.

I graduated in 2011 with my Montessori associates in early childhood.  Since then I have worked in 2 schools, as a field consultant for adult learners, attended and participated in numerous trainings, and created curriculum and materials.

I began to also dive into state learning standards.  If I was really looking at my students whole development, I would need to make sure my students were prepared when they leave me whether to continue in Montessori or to attend traditional school.

After many hours (or months), I was able to find what I need to create that would supplement the Montessori curriculum to include state standards.  After applying this new curriculum to my classroom, observing, and adjusting, I have decided I would like to share what I have created.

I hope that I help provide something for an educator that will apply it to a student who will learn and grow from it.  #teacherlifecycle
